To all of you who will be going to Nottingham, just to inform you guys that you are required to gather at the RUTHERFORD PARKING AREA at 12.00am on the 8/11. Please be PUNCTUAL or we will leave you hahaha.
2.NETBALL
Boys and girls, there will be a NETBALL game TOMORROW WEDNESDAY 29/10 at Park Wood from 4-5pm. So if anybody is free and has nothing to do, please come.

You guys probably have received the DeepaRaya celebration e.mail from Suk Yein. Anyways, Im gonna post it again here.
Hello everyone!!
First of all, I would like to apologise for the really late update as the committee has been running around trying to book a suitable venue for our DeepaRaya event and at the same time, register for the Malaysian Nottingham Games.
Here are the details for our DeepaRaya event:
Venue: DARWIN MISSING LINK
Date: 1ST OF NOVEMBER 2008 (Saturday)
Time: 6.00PM - 10.00PM
Please note the change of date. There has been many changes to the date mainly due to the booking of the rooms as we've tried our very best to hold this event within the Syawal Month. So, to all the Muslims out there, I would like to say 'beribu-ribu maaf' as all the major event rooms have been booked from the 24th of October onwards and this is the best available date.
The ticket price for this event is 3.50 pounds.
We are planning to have a few performances as well as games so to all those interested in performing (be it singing/dancing/whatever) or if you have any interesting games in mind, please do e-mail Ben (bmks2) and let him know by this Friday (24/10) please!
As this is a potluck event, feel free to bring food to the event but please let Ali (aah23) know beforehand alright? We wouldn't want people to bring too much of the same type of food over! =)
Here's a list of food in which some of our lovely members have volunteered to bring. Hopefully, with all of your contributions, I'll be able to make a huge long list! =)

Moving on to our second major event - the Malaysian Nottingham Games. Practice sessions for participants will be sent out to everyone. If you are interested in just coming along to support our teams and also meet up with your friends (a lot of people are going to be there!! Not to mention tons of MALAYSIAN FOOD!!), please e-mail Azura (nc72) or me (syk2)!
I'll inform you as soon as possible on the transport cost.
Finally, we will be holding a Society Meeting to discuss these events. Details are as below:
Venue: RLT1 (Rutherford Lecture Theatre 1)
Date: 24th October 2008 (This coming Friday!!)
Time: 6.00pm - 8.00pm.
We have also noticed that most people have difficulties with the Kent Union website, having to go through so many procedures to register as members of the MBSoc. Well, don't worry as we will be setting up laptops to help you through this rather painstaking process!!
All you've got to do is bring your DEBIT/CREDIT card to the meeting on Friday!!

Last Tuesday on the 14/10 the MBsoc gathered at the Grimond Lecture Theatre to vote for the new committe members. Each nominees stood up to give an inspirational speech in order to attract voters and was bombarded with questions from voters and ex-committee members to assess their commitments.
