I hope you guys have read the entry made by Nawawi. Im just gonna add something from what he has typed.
Ok, first of all about the Secret Santa Party. To those who did not turn up during the Pre-Secret Santa gathering last Thursday, you are welcomed to the secret santa party as well. So, please come =) supaya lebih meriah.
The second one is regarding the Movie Night. I assume that all of you are aware of what movie we gonna watch. It'll not be a horror movie. It'll be a malay movie. Hopefully a lot of people will come since it is not a horror movie =p. Anyway, I am gonna make a poll again. The movies to be voted is between Bujang Lapok and Do Re Mi. Voting will be closed on Wednesday. So, cast your votes guys and girls!
Hello there
As you all know, we had a society meeting last Thursday at the Keynes Lecture Theatre (KLT1). Big place btw...such a waste that not everyone came to fill up such a huge lecture room. However, ‘waste’ is hardly the right word to describe the meeting itself because there were many things that we discussed. So for those of you who missed the meeting or have short term memory, here’s a brief recap of the things we discussed:
Pre-Secret Santa
The main purpose of the meeting was the pre-Secret Santa event where we all write our names in a piece of paper and then randomly pick another paper with someone else’s name. Then you will have to buy that person some gift. Simple. However, there are few things to note:
Secret Santa event will be on the 9th of December (Tuesday) – so you have one week plus to buy gifts (although I’m sure many will do the shopping on the Monday before that day :-P)
MUST WEAR FORMAL CLOTHING. No Jeans. No T-Shirts. No Selipar. No Seluar Pendek. For Men, if you don’t have any suits then just wear something smart.
Please do not give ‘rubbish’ gifts (although what qualifies as a rubbish gift depends on the person hehe)
MB-Soc Uniform
Another important thing that was discussed was about a new official Malaysian-Brunei Society Uniform. We are planning to have two types of uniform:
A Polo shirt – Dark Blue colour, your name, Kent Logo
A ‘Hoodie’ – Red, your name, MBSOC logo
During the meeting, we passed a sheet around members of the society who are interested in having one so that they could fill up their preferences (Polo/Hoodie/both, Size, name to be put on the shirt). For those of you who are interested but did not attend the meeting contact the President or any of us committee members.
The price has not been decided yet as of now...I know, I know...that’s the first question that runs through everyone’s mind...but we will inform you ASAP
Movie Night
Last but not least, the current plan is to hold another Movie Night this upcoming Friday. Our last movie night was really fun (despite how a lot of girls complained about not coming because we were showing a horror movie, there were actually MORE GIRLS that came than guys LOL). What we are planning now is to have a theme for this upcoming movie night and that is ‘Classical Malay Movies’ which is basically P.Ramlee movies. We will post another poll in this blog, as soon as we confirm the availability of the movies. So for those of you who have P.RAmlee movies, plz contact us.

Ok, I guess that’s all for now
Nawawi, signing off~
Again, a reminder to all of you about the Pre-Secret Santa Party. It will be held THIS THURSDAY (27/11) at the KEYNES LECTURE THEATRE1 from 6PM-8PM.
And another thing to add, on the same night, the society will be having a charity. Since christmas is all about the spirit of giving gifts, why not give away a pound or two pounds or more by which the money will then be donated to a children's charity.
To those of you who have any unwanted items (eg. clothes, books, bags & etc) you can bring them along to our pre-secret santa meeting and give them to us and we will give them to Oxfam. But make sure the items that you plan to donate are still in good conditions =)
Alright, thats all I have to say and see you on this Thursday!
Cheers.
Hey guys, this is a form to sign for a petition regarding the new home office rulings about international students. Please read this site im going to give u and get back to me about it.im also attaching this form so this thursday we can bring it up in the society meeting so we can sign it and get as many signatures as we can.

Azura
Hello everyone!!!!
Wow. 808 votes? I didnt know our members are as big as that. Obviously someone voted more than once hahaha. 397 votes for Shutter and 392 votes for Kung-Fu Panda. Each of the remaining titles was voted by less than 10 people which is extremely minute compare to the two "over-voted" titles haha.
Anyway, I know some of you are not happy with the results. But like it or not we're going to watch shutter tomorrow night. For those of you who do not know what "Shutter" is, it is a romantic movie as quoted by Nawawi. Trust me, it is a really good movie. Watching it will make you burst into tears hahaha. I hope a lot of people will show up tomorrow night. So please come and lets watch the romantic "Shutter" movie together. Ok see you guys tomorrow.

This is an email from Azura.Subject Recruitment Exercise for Non-PETRONAS Sponsored Students
Warm greetings from the UKEC. Attached are the files regarding the Petronas

It is their hope that you could advertise this on your websites, or
email your members to notify the graduating students about this
coming interview.
As the interview is only about three weeks away, it would be great if prompt
action is taken. Please note that the application deadline has been extended to end of this week (7/11/2008).
Thank you so much for your help

The MBSoc-Kent Deepa Raya celebration was held last night (1/11/08) at the Darwin Missing Link. Although the preparation was a little bit in a rush, the celebration was a blast =) So congratulations to Azura and her committees for their fantastic job in making the celebration a success. As a representative of the committee members, I would like to say thank you to any volunteers who had helped during the preparation, to the performers who entertained us and to everyone who came last night =) And thank you to the contributors of food. The celebration wouldn't be complete without food hehe.
